Thanks for the tip, manda - still trying to figure it out without cheating - but I don't see anything other than "He was born in 1835." and the URL to start with. I'm opening the clip info and I don't see anything more either...
I'm trying guesses as well, but either I've got the wrong author, or I just don't get the reference...
Mind giving me another nudge?
Thanks again-

Nevermind - turns out you get more information from Windows Media Player than RealPlayer - that made all the difference.
Thanks again!

You should try playing Notpr0n or CWoT :), then you'll see that these arent soo hard. however i cant complete either of them haha

if you right click on the page like you are going to view the source, you will see the word encoding.
i'm trying to open in word using different types of code, but as yet nothing that makes any sense.
i'll keep trying and let you know.
This is probably going to lead to nothing, but worth a try :P

Also try maladjusted. There is a great forum here too with lots of games of all kinds: Maladjusted was my favorite of these type because I could solve most of them without help, but they were still very hard. I guess I am not smart enough for this riddle because I am stuck where all of you are.

have any of you read "the davinci code" already???i'm reading it and there is a part that i think that might help us....
we use an alphabet like this:
a b c d e f g h i j k l m
n o p q r s t u v w x y z
we replace some letter for the letter that is on the opposite side:
for example: we put "n" replacing "a" or "a" replacing "n"; "b" replacing "o" or "o" replacing "b"...................
maybe that help us a bit....

In post 227, the answer is given as

so, the url should be

But I get a File Not Found page with that. Am I misunderstanding? Entering the URL incorrectly? Has the page disappeared?

He was basically telling everyone not to give out the answers, that what you learn in solving the riddle is more valuable than the answer (which I agree). I hope that wasn't the hint though...if it was, I am going to have to quit. It's too frustrating without even a little help.

I just found web-hopper today. So far, I'm to the one that looks like this:
YPJC VYVELA, DPIR UZRBISLNII FD NYUKTI,
USXFYIJA TQH METHJSA QTWBLJMK NCVFES
FQBP PPQJ FJOLCW, AMQ XO BJLLQ BRE UVLTYK?
I know what question it's asking...
What number, when multiplied by itself, produces the largest possible number with nine digits, all of which are unique?
The only thing is...I suck at math and have no idea what the answer is!

Hi everyone,
I am stuck on the same level, surprisingly! I was wondering if the hint given didn't refer to previous levels....maybe the "path" he talks about has something to do with the other words found in the letters, before we get to the full phrases?
Does that make any sense?? LOL....just my tuppence ha'penny......

Top 'o' the morning to you all.
I'm back with my batteries charged and ready for another day of racking my brains trying to decipher Mr Logi'cs riddle.
Along the path to get to where we are stuck we have, between us, solved 11 puzzles.
Now, the question is, what have we learned from these 11 puzzles that will help us find the answer to 'Mary had a little lamb'?
omfgitsjenn

maybe someone could go back and list all 11 answers... if someone did that, i could try to put my brain to use.

G'day Sexiidimps....I was wondering if we DIDN't have to backtrack to previous levels, just the previous lines of letters before we get to 'Mary Had a Little Lamb'.....but then again, that's probably what everyone has been doing anyway. Agghh. I can't even bear to stare at the darn thing for 3 hours again.

Have you noticed that the "yes I can read this hidden messages but it doesn't help" bit is gramatically incorrect? It should be message, not messages. Don't know if that matters, or if it's just me being pedantic about language. As usual.

nitooz
04-13-2006, 10:32 AM
the numbers on the background - you took the first 14 numbers on each line, starting at the top left. Then you lined up the first 14 numbers with the first 14 letters, then the next 14 numbers with the next 14 letters, and so on. For example: YPJC - 2899. This meant you had to count back the relevant number of letters - Y - count back 2, p - count back 8 etc....giving you YPJC = WHAT.

Well, I think my big idea turned out to be a no-go. But let's see if any of you can do anything with it.
I thought that the "information gathered along the path" that we have to use is the numbers that Mr Logic supplied us in each url (that we put the - and our answer after.)
If I did it right, I came up with 73, 43, 87, 31, 62, 43, 55, 13, 26, 93, 66
reading left to right, top to bottom, that gives us these letters:
EBBMCBPMSYM
or top to bottom, left to right:
NRXJARSTIBF
But I can't come up with anything from that. : (

well, lets focus on the numbers....i've checked the fibonnacci sequency and two of the numbers make part of the list - 13 and 55
so, fibonnacci has nothing to do with this mistery....

Well heck, I'm back and I was sure you guys would have this solved by the time I got here, but NOOOOOOoo! :) Even with fresh eyes this morning I can't see anything different than yesterday. I went as far as trying "Friday", if you look in the last row towards the end, there is MTWThSS, for the days of the week starting with Monday. the H should have been F. That obviously didn't work, so then I switched all the letters two back (H-2 =F) and that didn't work so much either.
We can do this today, there is brain power here from all over the world and I might be the only American on the board. Strike that, Texan ;)

I'm a bit puzzled, using your formula, i don't get those letters?? going left to right, top to bottom i get
MLDUTRZEDLS
