I haven't been able to pick up anything...

I can look in the bamboo. Read some notes and smell the delicious food and stuff like that, but, haven't found anything I can use...

There's a 3-digit keypad located at about 3 o'clock on the edge of the window

EDIT: Found and used cup and stick and got some numbers. Not enough, though.

EDIT2: Found more numbers. Out! There are two endings. You get a different one depending on whether or not you opened any of the pots

nin man... we need your expert help ;-).. i cant seem to do anything other then remove lids, move rock, and look in some places

edit: i wish i knew japanese... seems i am lost in this one. I dont give up very easily, but this one seems like it has stumped me...

You can see the stick already, you just can't get it. First you need to get the cup, which is to the left of the water basin screen There aren't any arrows where you need to click to get there for some reason

No, the water basin is behind the bamboo screen. Click just to the left of it and you'll see the water basin.

This game's tricky. A whole lot of random clicking got me through it. I clicked many, many doubtful places.

I had edited my post that I'd found it nin man, thank you. :D

EDIT: I noticed that it's a very fussy game, as far as trying something a hundred times, and then for no reason I can see, it finally having an effect. I have a policy - when it's no longer fun; move on to another game. Good luck everyone! :)

Yes, but one time I didn't do anything but move off the screen and then back and was only then able to perform the action. Maybe (probably) I'm just a failure at this game. lol and I soooo don't feel like pixel hunting this morning! Obviously the game is beatable, I just find it too frustrating. :D

There are two. One is hidden under the stone you can move, but only after you input the correct number and the other is behind the round window, in a safe...that you can get after you input the correct number

Oh OK Thanks. I'm still trying to figure out what the correct number is. I have values for star, square and # so far.

Walkthrough:

Face the bamboo screen
Click to the left of the bamboo screen to go to the water basin
Click the left edge of the game screen to look under the window
Take the cup
Note the star number (* = 9)
Back to the water basin screen
Click upper right corner of game screen
Note the x number (x = 7)
Face three pots
Click the stick hanging from the ceiling until it falls
Go back to the water basin and fill the cup with water
Go back to the three pots
Click the top of the broken bamboo
Pour water from the cup into bamboo
Take the stick
Face the sword
Click top of game screen where arrow points (arrow is the crack on the wall above the window)
Put the stick in the hole in the ceiling
Face sword
Click upper left corner of table
Note the square number ([] = 8)
Face the three pots
Click top of broken bamboo
Note the # number (# = 5)
Face the three pots
Click the very bottom of the right-hand Japanese character on the wall (looks like a reverse lower-case t)
Note the triangle number (^ = 3)
Face the three pots
Click the top of the game screen just to the right of the three bamboo stalks
Note the circle number (o = 2)
Face the sword
Click the paper underneath the sword
Note all four codes: *#x, ^#x, etc.
Face the sword
Click the round window twice
Enter each of the four codes, making sure to enter the OPEN code last
Face the sword
Open the door behind the round mirror, take key
Face the bamboo screen
Open the left-hand window, take the comb
Face the three pots
Click the stones until one moves, take the key
Click the bottom of the three unbroken bamboo stalks, take the coin
Face the water basin
Click the back of the water basin, near the faucet
Place the coin, comb, and the darker key into the slots
Face the water basin
Click the upper-right corner of the game screen
Use the key in the keyhole to unlock exit door
For good end, just go out the exit door
For bad end, first remove any or all of the lids from the three pots, then go out the exit door

later after u enter all the codes - u open the sliding window - which wuz openable even before - but this time u will see a comb!
