Gaah, stuck in first room!
Progress:
I have: Washer, 2 pawns, cup, first 2 gold keys(used)
Cannot use any of them...

EDIT: After first golden key, it lets you turn around, and you can go to room 2.

Nvm, now in 3rd room.

@SteelersFreak
The value is so you can add. You must find more coins somewhere and use that total to unlock it.
They will also be in a small dish

Anyone else on level 3 yet? Found hint as to The order of the balls, but cannot do anything about The clock

SteelersFreak

On the third room now!

Does this whole game take place in hearst castle or just the billiards room? weirdly enough i was there last week :P

EDIT: The thing on the wall corresponds with the pool balls

Yeah, I figured that out, but how is 5 o'clock like 1?
I went back to the last room, to look at the clock, and tried all combos of 5 and 1 I can think of, with and without 2.
EDIT: Also tried matching the balls to the colors in the mural, no luck

@Tipper,
Try opening all of the cupboards

Yes, I have done that. When I get all combos I do, nothing happens. I tried clicking on all pockets after doing so, and nothing. Is there something special I have to do?

Thanks, but I've got the plastic cup but have not turned that into a PW.

Unscramble the letters to get the PW

Justeazy
08-03-2008, 11:27 PM
Yes, but there should be more cupboards.
There should be a cup in 1/6, and 5 mixed letters in the other 5. Un-mix them for your PW

Turning up your brightness helps!

Nope, looked, and clicked like 80 times...
Oh well, I guess I'll just try every combination...
there is only... :hmm: 216!

EDIT: forgot to ask...
are the 1 2 and 5 balls supposed to stay on the table after you get it right? Because mine do

But, you shouldn't have given me the answer, lol, I would have rather heard/read something like it is near something you will use a key on, lol

Wait... use my brain... is that a stupid joke?
Kuz it was well placed if so, XD

EDIT: and... OUT!

Okay, that was a lot easier than it needed to be, and therefore made me think it was a lot harder, and wasting a lot more time than needed!

did you try using the pool table? You have to put the balls in the right pocket. Try 1- top right 5- bottom right 2- bottom left They are the positions on a clock

This is not working for me...I zoom out and the balls are just back on the table. No key in the thing under the table..

Help!! I can't figure out this pool table thing!! Is the above hint wrong??

EDIT**
That post IS wrong. It should be

5 ball top right
1 ball bottom right
2 ball bottom left

nin_man
08-04-2008, 05:05 PM
Right, Michelle. That post messed me up because I had figured it out the right way, and then that was telling me otherwise. Five is in the one o'clock position, which is the upper-right pocket if you imagine a clock laid on top of the pool table. Then continue on, counting the pockets in a clockwise fashion. 6 is middle-right, 7 is lower-right, etc., until you reach 12 in the right middle pocket. Then start over with 1 in the lower-right, and 2 in the lower-left.

Michelle

I have placed the washer, and wet the page with the poem and have seen the clue. But I still can't figure out what to do with those to spots for the code. I've read the thread, and don't see a clue for that. Any help?

Justeazy

Just use what you learned from the poem!

As a lot of people I am a fan of self d:s games. This one was a treat as most if not all of the games from the creator. My only objection is that I had to start the game all over because I lost one of the coloured peaces in the room where u put them in order by coulur. A glitch I have learned But that dont take my curiousity from games made by this creater. Thx for a great game again. Keep entertaining us plz

To avoid the missing pawn glitch:
Open a new tab, and load the exact same page again. This will quick save where you are. This way, if you get the order wrong, you won't have to start over!

But the thing is, the clues ppl give a lot of times only make sense to the person writing it. That is a very frustrating thing about using forums for clues.

Whoever figured out the pool table thing can really think outside of the box. That was a huge stretch.

I'm still stuck on room 5. I got into the computer, I have no idea what to do with that. And one of my items, which I haven't used yet, cannot be picked up.

well, I hated the last one of these but i'll give this a chance to see if its any better.

No, it's not.
There are 2 objects in the 1st room you can pick up (a pawn & a washer).
theres some coins (seem useless), a locked door (very useless) and something that wants a password (useless unless you know where to find the p/w)

I don't know why I bother, expecting any more playability from the previous game. Too much to expect to be able to play the game or gain 1 iota of pleasure from it.

The coins are useless, their no use to anyone who isn't from the country where they are legal tender. Your not told what value they are so how can you possibly do the math, no doubt your expected to go away and google or wiki the coins. So much for being an escape the room or Point & click game.

Okay, I'll make this really easy for you, since you seem to not want to even try.
There are 2 spots with the coins.
The one on the table tells you the value of 1 coin
The spot on the dresser? on the right gives you a coin ammount, Just add it for the coins on that spot
EASY!

The note from the table shows you that
two US dimes (10 cents)equal one of those australian coins. Therefore, the sum of two australian coins equals 40

There is no need whatsoever to google the coins. I did before I saw the table note, but, it wasn't necessary.

Perhaps you can't see the equal sign in the table note, maybe?
