Forum Upgrade: Post Here About Problems/Bugs

what are albums?

Albums are photo albums. After creating an album, giving it a title, a description and have decided whether it is public or private album (private= only visible for friends and staff), you can start to upload photos/pictures that are on your PC. I think the maximum per album is 28 photos, but I am not entirely sure. I should have to check this first.

Here is a question: When I open my album for pictures, I see four places where it says I can upload a picture. Why is that?

I think it has to do with the code of forum skins/styles.
In Coffee Style and Default, it's "only" twice.

I use Orange Forest. Well anyway it works, I just found it odd :S

Well, actually it's handy when you can upload more pictures at the same time. After uploading picture you submit all the pics you uploaded in one time by pressing submit. It saves time the more picture you can upload at once. :)

I think what Lilli meant are the 2 to 4 (depending on the style) links in the album that lead to the upload page :)

Since we're currently having problems with email notifications, it might be that you haven't received an email with your email verification code.

Okay, it shows me i have one unread profile visitor message, i`m sure i`ve read all... how do i fix it? when i get a new message of the same kind, it shows me i have two, when i view the new message and refresh the page it shows one is left. it acts like that and i have no idea why.it just adds the messages i recieve to that one and when the new are read, it stays with one unred..... very annoying.... any help about fixing it?

Did you already tried to log out and clear your private data (caches, cookies, history)? :? Perhaps even rebooting your PC might help.

I don't have any other idea what could be cause of it. I have taking this into moderation to see if the others have any ideas.

It seems that my profile's "10 last visitor's" section is frozen. I've been watching it for a couple of days, and it doesen't show any new visitors. Don't say I didn't have any because I did. :P
Anybody else having this problem?

Maybe it has something to do with the Invisible Mode. :haha:

I think it possibly does. :hmm: Because the ones not listed, are the ones in invisible mode. :P

Maybe to test it out, PM someone who's NOT invisible, and ask them to view your user profile and see if it shows up. If so, then we know it's likely caused by so many people in invisible mode.

EDIT: I have just come out of invisible mode, and will view your profile. Let me know if it changes. :)

I noticed yesteday evening and this morning when I come to GH Forums I can browse through all the threads normally. However when I log in everything slows down: moving page to page, scroll bar, etc.

Anybody else notice this or just on my end?

I have been wondering for a while now what has happened to the Visitor message box in your own profile, is it so you dont post visitor messages on your own page?? Because when i look i am always unsure if it is there or not??

Yes, that is one of the reason. After some members started to abuse the possibilty to post in their own profile, we disabled this feature. We too thought it wasn't really necessary to be able to post in your own profile, and 99.9 percent of the deleted VMs were deleted because they were accidentally posted in someone's own profile instead of someone else their profile.

I hope I'm posting in the correct thread. I have a little problem with favourite smilies. When that option was first enabled I saved 10 smilies that I used/liked the most and it worked perfectly! But a few days ago I noticed that those smilies disappeared and 10 ANIMAL smilies appeared in their place. So I clicked SAVE again as my original smilies were still checked and nothing. I deleted them all and checked and saved them again and still nothing. So now I still see a bee, two elephants, two pandas, two horses, a bunny, a cat and a turtle, even though I don't want them to be my favourite smilies! Does anyone know why is that happening?

Is due the recent upgrade, and I am having the same problem. I didn't had the time yet to look into it, but I will do this right now. If I can't find anything that solves it I will pm the admin about this. In anyway I hope this can be fixed soon. I or another mod will post in this thread as soon as we know more.

I assume that the tool for the favorite smilies isn't compatible with our upgraded forum version. I hope that we'll be able to find an updated version of it, and then GamersHood could install it.

Umm as ive just got internet explorer 8, Whenever i go to insert an image, i click the image button, i have to go to the top of the page and click "temporarily allow insert images", then click yes on another dialogue box, then insert my link, then click another yes on a dialogue box, then post the message.

THis is a lot harder than just clicking the button, inserting the link and pressing post. Is there anyway to by pass all the steps?

Have you tried to add GamersHood Forums as exception, and to allow pop-ups from here?

If i click the button for pics it says "This website is using scripted window to ask you for information. If you trust this website click here to allow scripted windows", then i have to follow all the steps as i said before :hmm: Its only started happening since i upgraded to internet explorer 8 :(

Sorry it took so long - I still had IE 7, updated to IE 8, had to restart my pc etc. You know how that goes :P

Anyhow you can do this:
Go to Tools -> Internet Options
Then go to the label "Security", and choose "Trusted Sites". Click on "Sites", and add gamershood there (and make sure you uncheck the box at the bottom).
