Its a high IQ society. They have branches all over the world. You can take a practice test if you are interested. I'm not recruiting though, I am just curious if there are other members here on the forum.

If you want to take it here is the practice test:

The actual test they give is interesting. It is not like the one on their site. You can use SAT scores or other IQ tests to join as well. I could have saved myself from taking their test if I knew SAT scores were allowed.

Oh cool :P That's easier for people who want to join :D
(Although it wouldn't really matter to me cause there are no SAT's in Canada but I could probably take an IQ test and send that in if I was smart and wanted to join :haha:)

So how's it like being really smart Jack? :Haha:

There is a list of what IQ tests they accept somewhere. The main thing is that the test has to be overseen and done in person. I don't know if there is a Canadian version of the SATs or not, but if there is they would probably accept itl

I am not a member, but I am wondering what the purpose is to become a member. Do they have meetings, or are there benefits when you are member? Guess I have some googling and reading to do. :P

Fun test: 27 out of 30. No cheating.

It looks we had the same questions. But I didn't know there was a time limit.

The math question about two person start at the same place and walk 4 meters in opposite direction... Got the idea, but couldn't remember how to do the math, so I guessed (wrong). :$
I skipped the anagram for insatiable too, and forgot about it later. :P
And I got the typists questions wrong. I should have read more carefully. :shy:

I took it, along with my brother and dad. I can't remember all of our score, but they were all above 20. :)

I'm curious... what are the benefits of joining Mensa? Other than being able to say, "I'm a Mensa member..." is it just a way to say you're smart?

3 that I skipped so: 27/30...It used to be 30/30 but I'm kinda braindead lately...can't unscramble letters like I used to be able to...must be all these meds that make me sleep 14 hours too! Someting's gotta change quick! no like being dumb! Ever read "Flowers For Algernon?" I feel like the last half lately. If you feel smart, and want a scary look at the future if your mind goes, read it! You'll never feel superior again. Very humbling story.
