I've got a rope, a torch, a flag that I keep hiding under, and I think a net. I can't seem to do anything, though!

To trap the Pirate.
You need to climb the rope that is near the canon. Click space bar when you are at the place where the canon was. Shaggy and Scoob will climb and they will be ready with the net. When the pirate comes under the net click space bar, the net will fall on the Pirate.

Have you trapped the goons yet cause unless and until you don't trap the goons, you can't trap the pirate.

Use the barrel near the door that you went through earlier. When the goon gets above the barrels, get out from under the flag and use the torch on the trail

As usual.. you ask in the forum and find out yourself...

But still he needs something to climb the rope!
Have the net, the torch and the flag left...

And then tried again and they just jumped up the rope. Not asking for anything again... Strange mechanism that with asking in forum and immediatly find the answer yourself!

What do you mean "where the canon was"? The canon is still there. If I don't tie the other rope to it at the first part, then I can turn it around and put the net in it. I can't do anything else. If I tie the rope to it in the first part, I can't turn it. Whenever I click on the rope he says he needs something. I have a rope, something that looks like a net, a barrel, a torch, a flag. How do I climb this stupid rope?

When you tie the rope to the cannon Shaggy drops the cannon in the water. I am talking about trapping the Pirate. At that time the cannon is not there. I have written on the top " To trap the Pirate "

Second Goon

Get the cannon powder, it's in the barrel that is near the steps. And get the torch. Put the powder near the other barrels and wait till the goon comes. As soon as he stands above the barrels light fire to the cannon powder.

hi in the first part i dint tie the rope to the cannon so the cannon is still there i have stuffed the net into the cannon and have a flag and a torch left it says he needs something when he wants to climb the rope
does this mean there are 2 ways to finish the pirate???

Yeah there are two ways. I am not sure about the other way cause I never played it that way.

I just played it the other way. There are two ways to play the game. The way I played, Shaggy drops the cannon in the water. If you play the other way he doesn't.

It's the same way as I told before. But the only difference is that this time the cannon is still there.

Help! I can't get any further than when you have chopped one rope and ties the other to the cannon. It won't let me pick up the fishing net!

You need to pick up the fishing net after you trap the two goons.

for the first goon you have to get the string that goes down onto the dingy then attach the string to the cage door thing the goon keeps standing on
btw all through this get the flag so when the goon come you can cover yourself and not get scared

But when I tried it worked for me. I wonder what is wrong. But I didn't put the net in the cannon at all like you said. I clicked action when I was near that rope to the right of the cannon and Scoob and Shaggy went up the rope and they were ready with the net to trap the pirate.

When you finish it according to your way let me know. I have been playing this game for months according to the way I mentioned and never knew there are two ways to trap the pirate. ( I love this game so much that I play it all the time :D )

Ok I will try to write one but it will take a little while.

Scene 1

~ Climb the stairs and get the axe.
~ Come back down and tie the rope ( left rope) to the cannon.
~ Stand near the (not sure what it is called but the thing that is near the big pole which has a key hanging.) Just click action. And scooby will climb it.
~ Go to the cannon and click action again so that Shaggy will throw the cannon in the water. And Scooby will get the key.
~ Now cut the rope so that Scooby will come down.
~ Use the key on the door that is near the stairs.

Scene 2
~ Here you have to just sneak from behind the pirate and go to the stairs that are on the other side. There wil be a conversation between scoob and shaggy once you are in the room of map.
~ Now you will be back on the ship. Climb the stairs and get the black flag and the rope that is hanging near the row boat.
TRAPPING THE FIRST GOON.
~ Come back down and tie the rope to the trap door and pull it when the goon comes. If you are slow then hide under the black flag so that you wont get scared.
TRAPPING THE SECOND GOON.
~ Get the cannon powder, it's in the barrel that is near the steps. ~ And get the torch. Put the powder near the other barrels and wait till the goon comes.
~ As soon as he stands above the barrels light fire to the cannon powder.
TRAPPING THE PIRATE
~ Get the net that are near the stairs
~ Select the net and now you need to climb the rope that is near the cannon.
~ Click space bar when you are at the place where the canon was.
~ Shaggy and Scoob will go up and they will be ready with the net.
~ When the pirate comes under the net click space bar, the net will fall on the Pirate.

Stand in front of the torch and press spacebar to get it. But there is a time when you need to get it. Read the walkthrough for that.

i cut the rope up on top with the axe then i climbed down to the dingy and got the oar and jumped over to the sloping rope use the oar shag will knock the key down get it and then follow walkthrough posted elsewhere.
use cannon so shag will turn it around shove the net inside when both goons are gone hide under flag
near the cannon wait for ghost pirate to come out use torch on cannon pirate captured
