OK..... here is what I have

3 apples
candle (used)
lighter (used once)
ID card
passport?

I assume we need a second candle because I still have the lighter....
Now I am stuck.... I guess I will have to wait for help.

J. Toda died in 1958 which is missing off of the portrait but it doesn' t appear to be the correct answer for the safe. I also tried all nine years/dates listed in the blue book and none of those work. I don't see any other numbers and can't find anything else.

it is at the base of the plant near the dirt.

I have three. One from behind the first blue book, one from above the chairs and one from the base of the flag stand. Don't see any in the plant!

Too much of a pixel hunt ad not enough of a puzzle. Going to look for something more fun. Good luck all and thx for your help.

Thanks Freksta! This game is a serious pixel hunt to say the very least. But I hate giving up once I start something.

6278 from another site. They said they got it by adding date of death, date from book and ID number.

Thanks, Needhelp. Wouldn't have figured that one out by myself:-) But what now...? Placedthe red bowl-thing on the Lotus-looking stand, but then nothing... What about the aples, can't use them, can you?

OMG.... finally out!
You need four apples to use them......
it is in the bowl that you put in the lotus looking stand, you may have to pick up the black and white stick again but I am not sure.

The lighter is at the base of the plant just above the dirt. I do believe you must be in the close up view to do this.

the apples go on the plate once you have for of them

get the close up view of the bowl and the black and white stick on the right side of alter. use the stick to ring the bowl (as if it were a bell) three times. put stick back, zoom out and open doors to alter.

it is the first book from the left, in the close up view, click near the middle of the spine of the book. It will begin to move. Keep clicking until it falls to the floor. That's the best I can tell you because there is only one pixel that works!!!

click around the books until you get a close up (not sure on what spot) then click the first book on the shelf, towards the top of the spine until it moves slightly, then click a little lower on the spine until it moves a little more, then click near the bottom of the spine until the book falls off

Its an in-game close up... Click between the third & fourth book from the left about 1/3 of the way up from the bottom of the books.

its one of the chair spindles, 3rd chair, center back spindle (bottom half)

right, lit candles, placed apples on plate, put bowl on lotus flower, ... now what?

Did you light the incense?

you need to be in the close up view of the bowl in lotus flower and the spindle in the holder. pick up the spindle and tap the bowl three times as if it were a bell, you should hear it ring. you can then open the doors to the alter.

click on the passport and open it. don't know why but that's what I did. can't hurt! once you open the passport, take the coat and the flag and leave!

You have to have the spindle in place on the alter before you can get to the last apple.

Found the incence---in the plant--one of the long brown stems...

Thanks for the hints - finally out. I couldn't get the altar doors open until I found the ID card under the cushions at the left of the altar.

I also found the incense stick by accident about a third of the way up the plant.

I have the incense place and lit, the 4 apples placed, I have the id card and the passport and the alter doors still won't open. What the heck?

I turned up my volume so I can hear if it rings and it doesn't ring when I pick up the stick and try to ring it against the bowl.

This game is making me want to throw a tantrum. Where is the fun in that?

Think I laid the inscense on the same dish the stick/wand is on - can't light it. It went some place in that area .. *sigh* But I don't see it when I lift the wand.
Guess I need to start over .. may look for a short game after looking at email. Save this click click click click one for tomorrow

I restarted as I couldn't find where I placed something ..
And this time I have clicked billions of times trying to find the pixel to get lighter that wasn't so bad the first time through. - time to go to bed.

Back - have everything in place - everything lit and burning - just having no sucess at ringing.. when I get view inside bowl, I can not pick up wand to hit the bowl. *sigh*
hold wand in middle - where your cursor is should hit the bowl just a bit above the "lily" bowl and right in the middle of the ringing bowl. Not on the inside of the bowl like a bell clanger.
And I'm at last out of this pixel hunting picky game. - smoke break now.
