I like to play text based games here and there, and remember those times :)
(E.g. I loved Colossal Cave Adventure, and the one that took place in a spaceship - currently can't remember its title)

oh i'm so stuck, i got him to plug in the green and red wires and then didnt know what to tell him, when i told him to open the hatch he just said 'oh it survived'

now i dont know what to do

Yeah, I found a bunch of endings. I have some tips on the endings if you want any. I'll look at this thread frequently in case anyone needs hints,
