1. you found the red_path. Now you see where it leads, to thedoor
2. you need themap
3. use some image editing software and superimpose the map over the red path and get only the coordinates that are on the path.
4. use those coordinates to find the letters in the image from thedoor page (use paint, it will show you the cursor position

THIS WAS A TRICKY LEVEL !



Like the clue says, antonin was more than a composer, look for another antonin and his invention, a keyboard. The 2 colors tells you in what direction the transition works for the next step, all in the source (QWERTY->DVORAK or DVORAK->QWERTY).

Right now, 60's what I'm dealing with (well, when I finally have some spare time from work), and it's killing me... stupid 5x5 matrix... I simply don't get it... any combintation of arranging colors doesnt give me the slightest hint >.< Help here is again appreciated...

1) As a letter is moved does it replace or shift letter(s) adjacent to it or is each move unique relative to the original grid?

2) If arrows point off the grid do I move them off or do they wrap to the other side? (I assumed the later given the clue in the source code")

3) Is each of the three grids of arrows applied indivdually to the first grid of letters or do you need to solve arrow grids from left to right subsequently applying each new set of arrows to your prior solution?

This took me a while too. I just basically ignored the other posts b/c they confused me and I went with the old number slide method. If you remember doing these, they usually consisted of about 9 numbers with 1 empty square, and you had to shift the numbers around to get them in order. This is basically the idea. 1) move the letters in the direction of the arrows. They will replace the letter already in the other square. 2) if the arrow points up and it is the first letter in a column, then the letter will move to the last position in the column. 3) each grid is a progression. Once you move all of the letters in one grid, go to the next grid and move those letters again. If anyone has a simpler explanation, go for it.

Can anyone help with number 17, the piano? I've read the other posts but they're not helping me.

That's the part I figured ou (the DVORAK vs. QWERTY)t, I can't find the words I need to convert with the keyboard switch. What do I need to do to get the red/green words I need to convert?

There are 2 parts to lvl 15. If you figured out the first clue, then that will take you to the next clue. Big hint: there are two pictures, both the same but with different words on them. You may have to brighten your screen. I don't even try these on a regular monitor anymore. Flat screen works best. Once you get to the 2nd pic, google dvorak and qwerty converter and go from there.

2.) You see the clue? Like what Draculaspiddle said (methinks), think of it as a "synonymous" sentence. Also, think books

wait a minute...

have you (a) passed the "55s" and stumbled upon their 3 "56" brick walls? Or (b) are stuck on the three "55"s?

Ans for (a): You should see 3 words at each wall. Google them in the order that makes sense

Ans for (b): If you're stuck at the "55s", then I suggest you look up the author in Wikipedia ^_^

hex's earlier hints were right on i think, so i don't want to add much to them ('cause that'll either make it more confusing or just give it away), but here's an example "clue" that may illustrate what hex was saying...

MEGAHINT: always use a high contrast on your monitor or save the images and increase the alpha value with some image editing software i.e. ACDSEE/PHOTOSHOP, i use IrfanView because it's free, small and fast !

you will have to overlap the coordinates map over the red arrow image, take only the coordinates that are on the red line (4 of them) and use them on the image with the text that you get with the door clue to get the correct letters (coordinates are in pixels, use paint to see on what pixel u are with the mouse)

This one is simple, in the page the clue says Go to the next image.... If you look in the source the image is called oldoak-a.jpg. So the next image should be...

You get to this screen with lots of numbers, if you look closely there are 2 rows of pairs of 2 numbers on 5 columns. Now the clue in the picture tells you to let the past inspire you and the clue in the source

Go back to the cursed lands of the dead...
So you will have to get back to Storigoi graveyard (lvl 11) and look at the symbols from the top left of the picture. Those symbols will tell you how to form 1 number from the pair of 2 numbers. You will have to place the symbol between the 2 numbers and keep the digits that touch one of the symbol's extremities.

Only these numbers will give always the same letter !

See the name of the image. There is an "a", maybe you should replace by some other letter (...a...b...c...d...e...). To see the imaginary picture, check source code, you'll see there the end of a URL (jpg). You just need to type that on the URL to find the 2nd image. PM me if you need anything more information. ;)

in Veros somewhere should be a link to a zip archive, i dont remember where, in that zip you will find a file with a strange extension, that's a font file, if you use that font in wordpad with the letters in the image you will get your answer. pm for sollution, this could be hard if you're not familiar with installing fonts and so on. also easy to figure out if you think about what creatures could possible lurk in those woods in transilvania...think that the number of letters is the same for the decoded text...:P surely not racoons :D

I know it is a bit untechnical but I saved both images and opened with windows viewer and then used my finger to keep place as I flicked between images. Hope it helps.

Level 2Highlight the page and look at the botom of the image. The three words that were invisible before will now be visible. You need to get those three words out of the saying that is on the image. Use the first letter of each word. Hope this helps.

No


Do a google search on one of the terms, and your answer should be right there. For the other, it's a common computer code. If you spend any amount of time online, you've probably seen it numerous times.

you will have to rotate them like it says in the source and be carefull hoe yje rest spin, in the surce you know which cog you turn, how many times and which one to read. if i remember correctly you turn them clockwise. always remember the last position of the cogs as you should not reset them after each turn...screen spinning yet? :P

If you're not running Windows, it won't run. I had to switch to a different machine to get it to work. Any three numbers should give you a letter.

It is also a logical answer that can be reached just by saying what you would like to do with the mansion...

Level 24 confuses me. I know it has something to do with math and probably lots of multiplication since there are loads of Xs. What does it mean by everything starts with zero though? And what about the elements?

actually is quite simple, look in the source and you will get a list of operatos corresponding to each type of card. then you just do all the operations but always use 0 as the first operand. another important thing is how cards are considered: A=1, J=11, Q=12, K=13. last part is a bit tricky, follow the hint under the image. good luck

Each line of operations should have a zero in front.
If I remember correctly, you don't multiply them.

indeed Xs dont matter, always start your expressions with a zero, for example if hearts mean adding and your first card is a 3 of hearts you have to start with 0+3... and so on, so the color of the card mean the operator theat should be used in relation with the previous card, that's why the zero is necessary.be careful of operators precedence :P

in order not to get confused use paranthesis, for example if you have 3 of hearts and 4 of clubs, hearts is + and clubs is x you have (0+3)x4... so 3x4 and so on, also if it would be reversed, so hearts id x and clubs is + the you would have 0*3+4... so 4 :P

My text editor displays HTML in different colors (comments in green, for example). I spent a few hours or so staring at the source of one page until I realized that for some reason the comment (read clue) was in black near the top of the code.

the arrows show you how to move the letters in the first grid, there are 3 arrow grids so you have to do 3 moves. if an arrow points to one side just move the letter to the opposite side...really easy

I think a lot of these are either you see it right away, or you stare at it for days. That one right away reminded me of those picture puzzles with one square missing where you slide the squares around. There were a number of others that I looked at forever that others figured out immediately.

You need to find three images.

To find the second one, you have to check the name of the first image and replace the A by another letter (what letter could it be? 1,2,3...think in letters), then you just have to put the name of that second image on the URL (as an answer) but replace .htm by .jpg!
To find the third image, look on the source code for the name of another image, to see that image, put the name of that image on the URL (just like you did with the second image).

I'm confused... I did pretty good with the last couple levels after getting away from the cards, but everybody but me seems to have whipped right through level 28. The source code doesn't even SAY 28! Maybe I'm overthinking this... I'm lost though.

btw, Blackrose... regarding the map. The solution is so incredibly obvious that nobody thinks of it right away. How would you pull a map up on the screen in a riddle like this? The entire puzzle is pretty complicated, but this one is simply a matter of not overthinking it.

OK, so you have 3 pictures, and you have connected two of them ? Then, apply what you found from the combination to the last picture: you'll be able to find four elements to get through the door

can anyone help me with level 13 (jam wastelands)? I'm pretty sure I understand HOW to get the answer, but I must be doing something wrong because by relocating the letters using the directional arrows I'm left with empty spaces on the grid and ones that have two letters in them.

Yes, I had both empty spaces and doubles on the last grid.

Trust me, look back over this thread and you'll see we're all in your shoes. :)

If you've moved things around correctly, you should have something fairly readable. PM me what you've got, like this

Someone said (I think it was Judyg8or) the clue should have been S is for Skull, O is for mOon. Where else could you apply a pattern like that? ;)

2 days!!!!!!!!!!!! I've been stuck on this level for 2 days!!! I can't believe it! This is the longest i've been stuck ever!!! At first I thought this level would be easy, but after the millions of guesses I've typed in... Could some kind soul out there give me....hmmm....maybe the first letter?? You'll need all the clues eventually. Get the ones you can first, and try to fill in the blanks (On numerous puzzles, you'll have enough to give you the answer without having to finish it out). What I did on this as I figured out clues was write them down, and make note of where they overlapped, I believe that when they're all down, it was pretty self evident what the answers were.

PM me what you've got so far, and I'll nudge you.

Ok stuck again.......feeling a little confused on this one. I am at the dead woods and obviously seeing too much. And can't figure out the language used my latin to english translator says no match found...lol. Did a lot of what the clues told me and the zeroes thing was done but obviously not correctly.....lol. Nudge please...:)

THAT IS NOT LATIN ! :) you will have to eliminate the zeroes. now in the address mar you have x0x0x0x0x, remove the zeroes and you're left with Xs, do that to the text. enter what you got and you get the next clue

And for the Lauber Mansion, how exactly do the wheels work? With a single turn of a wheel, all the others change, right? And do you have to turn clockwise then counter clockwise after every turn?

Pixiedust, I'm not sure how you're asking for help on two levels... but I can help you with the enlightenment.

Once you have found the story (which you have), be VERY LITERAL about what the words in the pic tell you do to... the original pic from this level, of course, not the pic with the link to the story.

Can you read the words in the picture? That and what's beneath are really all you need for this level.

Were you able to open it. If not, you need a tool like Winrar or something similar if you're on Linux. If you're past that


you have to navigate the folders to find the answer to the next couple of riddles. Find the answer and use that number (sometimes split up) to navigate through two levels of folders to get to a text file that should (if you have the right numbers) get you through.
