look at the very end of the coded text you should be able to guess the last word by what you see there

yup we were good, i had it the whole time, but didnt piece it together. the letter in question is in fact a "Y" google the fulll words you have and the answer with the full phrase will be there

I got 52, now onto 53. 52 is overly simple, don't hurt yourself thinking about it, look at the source.

ok, weffriddles have been fun so far.. until now

on level 54 my wife and i solved 54.2, 54.3 and 54.4 with teamwork but we are both totally stumped by 54.1 and have been for 3 days and we are more frustrated now than enjoying the game anymore, heh.

we get the title hint and the code hint to figure out the math. applying the math to the different hints and decoding them and then applying the concept of the letterscankill riddle (as jeff suggested on his site) we think we have some deciphered words but are clueless as to how to use them. they don't seem to be the answer.

i know several of you have finished this level so if you could please offer us some hint to keep us moving i would appreciate it.

Pinkywinky, how did you get to 25 if you don't know how to find a pic name in the source code? It is a very basic level. If you got to 25 you should have no problem solving it.


jeff, the creater of weffriddles, said that you will never use the source code to solve any of the riddles. oh, and i noticed you guys basically tell each other the steps on how to get the answer. which is definately not cool. that takes all of the fun out of the riddle. rea weffriddles players spend lots of time on each riddle. i myself have spent a about 5 days pondering a level before finally figuring it out. the levels are set up for you to think about them for days. not to get mad in half an hour and either give up or ask for step-by-step instructions, or the answer in a PM.

so, that's not cool. you should really stop spoiling it all for the newcomers and let people who are stuck spend a lot of time on the level to figure it out.

thats why when we help-its in private.
and we dont give away the answers-we give some diractions that can help people on the way of finding the answers
not all people have time to spend days trying to figure out each level. it can be very annoying and depressing espacialy when you're very close to the end and really stuck-or when you're at the very beginning and ready to play-but really lost on what to do and how to continue.
when a person asks for help-that means he doesnt care if it spoils a little.
so why not help him? if he wanted to finish it by himself and only himself-he wouldnt be asking for help. we're no quitters. part of that is asking for help when really needed. and when a person is one level away from the end and already spent weeks trying to figure out the level-he really really dont want to quit-and will really appreciate some help.
personally-i help only after the person tried to solve..and got some stuff and only need a little diraction on how to continue.
of course we'll never give away the answers because jeff gave a lot of thought in this riddle and people should work their brains as hard as they can
but they shouldt feel bad if they need a little help. they only want the option to move forward after all the brain work they already give. thats why we have the forum. for some people getting a little help is better then quitting.

I know I might seem like a jerk for doing this, but I'm trying to keep Weffriddles competitive and fair to everyone, not just those who belong to a certain forum.

I'll be watching, and I might even stop in to give some hints myself. But it's so much easier to just go to the Weffriddles forums and ask for hints there, 'cause there's a thread for every level, so you don't have to sort through 250 pages of forum to find hints on the level you're on. We'd be happy to have you over there. :)

i think you guys are looking at the hints and jumping to conclusions about them being cheating.

first of all, you already know the answer to the riddle so you look at a hint and think it is blatantly obvious. unfortunately for those who are stuck, most of the time that hint didn't give them one bit of help. i can't tell you how many times i read through this and other boards looking for some help to get on the right track and came up empty handed.

jeff, you said it yourself on your board, people think differently and therefore some riddles are easy to them that others find hard and visa-versa. i agree that the post on 16 was a bit too much because it did give the answer in it, whether people realize it or not, but wouldn't it have been easier to click the "report bad post" button instead of posting your reply above?

the riddle games are fun because they are challenging and you get a good feeling when you are able to solve one. it makes you feel a little clever sometimes. it is not fun when you get stuck on one for 5 days and get frustrated and upset. the creator of the riddle, or those who solved it quickly might think it is funny but it is definitely not. is the purpose of building or playing a riddle game to create an elitist group of mensa candidates or to have fun and challenge people to think differently? sometimes giving someone the answer or even an obvious clue gives them the opportunity to make a paradigm shift that they would have never been capable of previously. this allows them to continue on with the game and continue having fun. if someone truly didn't want help then they wouldn't come here and read.

also, the help i have received here in pm from those who had solved a riddle that i had not amounted to no more than them telling me that i was on the right track and to continue thinking. and since my wife and i work these riddles as a team is that cheating to you?

There are several posts here that tell you exactly how to beat the level. I'm not going to repost them for obvious reasons, and the less obvious reason of there being 249 pages in this thread, and while I am dedicated, that's just tedious. :P

I don't think you and your wife working together on the riddles is cheating. But if your wife went through and just pretty much used your answers to get through by herself, then told me that she did it by herself, THAT is cheating. And you may say 'well nobody actually does that,' but I've already had cases of people saying "oh nevermind, I got the answer from another forum."

I asked one what forum, and they said it was here. Deny all you want, but it happens.

I have no intentions of 'weeding out the weak' or anything like that. But if it comes to the point where you just can't get it, then you can ask for a really good hint in PM. They shouldn't be out here for everyone to see so they can just use it and say that they're clever and say that they got it all by themselves.

Hints should tell you what to think about, spoilers tell you why you were supposed to think that way. Spoilers give away the key part of the riddle that takes thought to come across, i.e. if someone were to say "highlight the page" as a 'hint' to level 1 (I say that here, 'cause I don't care too much about level 1), that would be a spoiler. A hint would be "There are some words in bold on that page... What could they mean?"
