Ok, here is what you do:
Put the cd in the computer and get the code. Read the note beside the computer. Note: the code is random!! Get the little card in the window, put it in the little white box, (scanner) in the first room. The press the 1 2 3 until you have the code and then press A

It is not easy to explain how the thing works but I will try. If I press 1 once I get the value ten, if I then press 2 it multiplies ten by two, so I have 20. If i press 2 it subtracts 20 by 10 so then the value is 10. What you have to do is add and multiply until you reach a value you can subtract from an then hopefully get the code 105 or 155 or 230 or whatever the computer showed you.

I tried to do both, but how to explain how you enter the code in the machine when the code is random? There are many solutions.

The easiest way I can explain it is: Example, mine was 130... #3 has the highest number on it so I clicked that first then the #2 then #3 until I had it to 130. Hope this help somewhat.

The thing with the code is that by pressing the buttons 1, 2 and 3 on the panel, you need to arrive at the number that it says on the computer screen.

So for example you could get the number 130, and you'd need to get to that. You start off with having the number 5. If you press button 1, you add 5 to the current number, i.e. in this case it becomes 10. Press button 2 and you subtract 10 from the current number, i.e. with the beginning 5 you end up with -5. Press button 3 and you multiply the current number by 2, i.e. with 5, you get 10.

Now you need to keep pushing buttons until you reach that number, but you can max push any button 3 times in a row, push it a 4th time and the machine resets back to 5. So what you need to do is to figure out how to arrive at the number with those 3 math operations.

Then when you have reached the number (you can always see the current number at the bottom of the window), you press the A button and voila, you're out.

As stated in the game, clicking "1" means +5, "2" means -10 and "3" means *2. N X=5 means the initial number of X is 5. So u start off X=5, click "1"=10, click "3"=20, click "2"=10. But there's some problem like if code is 100, does not mean u click "1" for 20 times, will gives u 100. When u click for abt 4-5 times, X will return to 1st number. For example u click "1" 4 times, X=10,15,20,25 n then back to 10.
I hope my hint is not so obvious but good enough to help.

I don't get the code either. I understand the calculations, but when I entered it on the C-lock, it doesn't accept the code. Here's what I did so far:


The code from the laptop says 180, so, I went to the C-lock,
pressed "1" 3 times until I got 20
pressed "3" 3 times until I got 160
pressed "1" 2 times until I got 180
pressed A... but it still doesn't accept the code

What am I doing wrong? I entered the code exactly as it says on the laptop... but it still won't accept it.

nvm. Found out why it won't accept the code.
I had to use all 3 buttons. So, even if I got it to X=180, it won't accept the code unless I've used all 3 buttons to get to that number.

Ok. I was soo annoyed with this stupid thing, but now i've had a drink or two and hopefully can help explain this code thing to those who've had trouble..

That first click, X = 5. After that, X = whatever the previous click's value (shown as X at the bottom) equals, based on the note you find next to the laptop. EX: on your first click, if you choose Button 1, you'll get 10 (5 plus 5). Or if you FIRST choose button 2, it will give you -5 (5 minus 10). Or if you FIRST choose button 3, you get 10 (5 times 2 -- the "dot" mean multiply). The X at the bottom shows you the current value of X

Forget the 5 from the note after your first click; X will now equal whatever the number equals based on your choice of buttons.

Now, while using the formula from the note next to the laptop (and after your first click of button 1, 2, or 3):
Button 1, will add 5 (shown at bottom) to X
Button 2, will subtract 10 from X (shown at the bottom)
Button 3, will multiply X (shown at the bottom) by +2

BUT remember that clicking the buttons, oh, I think 3 or 4? times resets the number back to what was originally X when you first clicked there.
AND remember, that X changes with each click
AND remember, that whole algebra thing, with negative minus a negative is like adding (wow, you kinda do use that stuff out of high school, rite??)

At that point, you basically have to fiddle around with those three buttons to come up with whatever code was given on the laptop screen (in the room to the right, which shows up after you've put the CD in)

I myself got to like, -9000 at one point, so, just click A and start over. It makes sense at some point, really. And if not, have a drink or two and that might help. :)

There are two doors on lvl 2. One in the science lab and one in the other room with the book shelf. Have tried to click on both doors after you have done what I said on #33?

Walkthrough: New Version

1. Grab key which is in front of you
2. Use it on the door on the right.
3. Grab pencil on top of desk and use it on the slot on the printer to get battery
4. Grab CD in top drawer
5. Grab card on window seal
6. Use card on scanner in first room
7. Put battery in on the connection's manager on he shelf
8. Go back in right room and place CD in bottom disk tray
9. Press green button
10. Remember code
12. Go back to first room
13. This is the difficult part, using the first three buttons from the left input your code from the computer. Note: The first button when I played added five. The second subtracted ten. The third added two.
14. Enter newly unlocked door
YOU ARE NOW ON THE SECOND LEVEL
15. Go left open drawer get blue CD
16. Grab red CD on scale
17. Grab key by clicking on black box on the shelf
18. Go back to the first room you were in at the beggining of level 2
19. Use key on box on the side of the wall on the left
20. Get the last CD
21. Go to the left room and click on calculator on the wall
22. Place CD's in the calculator slots in order from the books in the first room on level 2. Example: If the first book is blue, put the blue CD first
