The お宝2 (The Treasure 2)

A Japanese pont and click game by the creators of "The 事件 (The Incident)", "The Escape", "The お宝 (The Treasure)" and "The 探し物 (The Search)".
It contains mini games. There're a bad, a normal and a best ending. Can you find the most expensive treasure?

Language barriers could make it difficult.

To those who don't live in Japan, you may need to follow this process to play this game.
You need to go to control panel, click regional and language options, go to the advance tab, change down arrow to japanese and restart your computer.

This may be needed to start the game, it's the code for the panel to open the door.
After you skip the text, click the panel next to the door.
Click the button under 2 once, then click the button under 9 three times.
Then click "ok".
Click the triangle that you see under the panel. (Then you see the door)
Click the door, and skip the text.

i still cant get the code to work it might be because i cant see japenese letters

kyle, what letters do you see? The first row are all in number and the second row are all in japanese letters. Do you see buttons with numbers?

It doesn't work for me either, even though I can see the Japanese characters. And the boy in the corner just has a look of disbelief when I click OK :?

Well Theme, you see Japanese letters right?
Then after you zoom the panel, click once the button with さ and click three times the button with わ, then click ok.

Well, oddly enough there isn't a button where it says さ on it, I've checked :S The わ button is however where you said, left of the OK button.

The shape of さ is a little different from the one you see in the game, both are the same letter though. It's the one in the bottom row, the third from left, the button below "2". And I can say the button between か and た

Screenshot time :D This is what I see, and the button below 2 doesn't look anything like the character you posted lili :?

And clicking that button once, then the other one 3 times, then OK, then the triangle doesn't open the door :S

Click the button under "2" once
Click the button under "9" three times. (this is what I meant the second from right, next to "ok"...:sad:)
Then click triangle.

lili I am very sorry to say this, but that is exactly what I did from the start, click the button third from the left in the second row, i.e. the one under the 2, once, then click the button second from the right in the second row, i.e. the one under the 9, three times, and that is what I get then :sad:

Yes I do lili, and I will post screenshots of that in a few minutes, I just have to make them. The b was put there as soon as I had clicked the button next to the OK button twice. The first time I did it, it showed a Japanese letter.

Okay, I just checked, that b is put there when you push either of the buttons in the second row, TWICE.

Theme, I checked the japanese forum if anyone have same problem like you all. But there's no report of bug. Can you think of any idea? It maybe because of Flash Player? Or the setups of Flash Player or pc itself?:(

i dont have linux id dont even know what it is lol but i tried all the japanese encodings and none of them worked im useing firefox

No lili, I'm sorry :sad: I have the latest version of the Flash Player, version 9, so the only thing I can think of is that it just won't work the same on Western computers as opposed to Asian computers, it sounds silly but I really don't have any better idea :(

kyle, ah okay it was because you talked about an XP disk, so it sounded to me like you were using Linux. But still, I don't know how to do it in Firefox either, so I guess we do need to wait for Zox or Lilli :sad:

I just checked Theme's screenshot and ther are the same, except the third screenshot. In my bar there is also a square visible on the end. And for some reason the letters are also not fully displayed.

Heureka! It's the font/text encoding that is somehow different for us! :D I will have a closer look at it when I get home, but for now could you please post exactly what characters you get in the white display when you have pressed the buttons, but just before you press OK, lili?

No, Adventure, when you click わ once you see わ in the bar, and if you click it twice you see を, and three times you see ん. So there're さん in the bar after all.

And Eureka means: Hurrah!!!! I have found it!!!!

It comes from Heureka and it's a exclamation of Archimedes, when he found something out after spending a lot of time in it.

Well I don't have any trouble with that game. When I see Flash Player site, the page of download the software, I can choose the language. Thar may have something to do with that problem and there could be any option when we play foreing games... just my guess though. And Theme also mentioned something about encode.... Hopefully he can find a solution.

Well here are pics. 1st. is when I clicked さ. 2nd is when I clicked わ once. 3rd is when I clicked わ twice.(You see を) 4th is when I clicked わ three times.(you see ん) And 5th is when I clicked "ok".
