Yeah. I think language is definitely going to be a barrier to solving this one. Darn it.

I have Shovel, green pencil, glasses, scissors, piece of paper with numbers that I cut with scissors and held up to sign on wall. Oh and there is a number on the wall by the light, too.

I don't think I'm gonna be able to work out the passwords.

Haven't done anything with the pencil or shovel yet. Except look at them. Any body get any further?

The paper on the coffe table seems to be a tv guide. Channel 8 doesn't come in on my tv. I need cable? Antenna?

I've managed to gather and use some items, and got a lot of kanji (especially those linked to numbers), but since I don't understand them, I'm not sure what to do with that info.
I guess I'll wait with that game until some info is available :P

you can click on the box on channel one and it pops open to be a swiss knife with lots of gadgets on it

I'm thinking that number 2 is the symbol for 5 but I can't find anything on the other symbols...

On the tv

if you hit the wrist first, then the shoulder, then the head the tv changes channels to 8. Its still snowy though.

I looked up the kanji on wikipedia for the numbers and this is what it broke down to:

五-5
吉-lucky
家-house


i don't know what that means or if I even translated correctly though. I don't speak Japanese.

ahhhh...that helps some, but it won't allow the use of letters for the passwords for either the box or the computer...only allows numerical input...

so it looks like we have 75 and the last two numbers are still up in the air

The computer only lets you put in three characters, so I don't know how we would put in four.

It looks like there are lucky numbers in feng shui. Maybe that has to do with it.

If you've found 4 letters correctly, make 2 pairs to get 2 names in Tokugawa General's family tree. :)

Well, I found the code for the computer, but..
I don't know how it exactly is gonna to help me to find the code for the box. I think the colors on the PC screen are proving some sort of hint, but I don't see how. I still haven't used the apple and the shovel.

Look very carefully at the screen on the computer and you'll see the answer to your question.


(Its actually in plain sight). The apple and the shovel were never used to do anything. Just keep looking at the monitor and you'll get it.

first you will need to find the japanese symbols associated with the 4 numbers. once you have all of the symbols, use the chart that lili posted on page 4. the 4 symbols need to be put into 2 groups of 2. on the chart, try to find places where you see 2 of those symbols next to eachother. do the same for the other 2 symbols. use the numbers next to them for the PC code.

it is hard to put into words but that should help you out.

jack is right, once you get into the PC - just keep staring at the screen and eventually you'll see the code for the safe.

You don't have to read Japanese to find the code. Everything what you need to know is explained by Lili in this thread. :) By reading all the posts in this thread you can find out how to get the password for the PC. ;)

First you have to find the 4 Japanese characters:First and second: from note on wall (see post #7).
Third: Mini shovel (see post #2).
Fourth: on wall by lamp (see post #9).
Then you have to get channel 12 on the television: turn on channel 8 and read post #45.
When you got channel 12: see post #57 and do the same again as post in #7.
You now got the 4 Japanese characters you need. Read now post #33 & #35 to find out how to get the PC's password.

Like Jack already told before..
It’s in plain sight. Look between and around the colored blocks at the computer screen. The numbers are white, the colored blocks form the numbers.

I hope this makes sense.

After you get the characters that correspond with the numbers go to the link on the post below and look for them.

You need to get to channel 12 first and use the pencil like it shows you on tv first to get the correct characters for 1 and 2

Look for pairs of the Japanese characters that are associated with the numbers on the chart. There are only a handful that contain them, and only two that have both characters. You will get two seperate numbers you need to combine together for the code.
