for all math lover

this game is simply maths in this game the first person will give an equation involving x and the next person have to find the value of x if his answer is correct and is confirmed by the poster, then it will be his turn to give an equation (it can even be simultaneous one)

example
1 person ; x+2=3
2person;x=1

Correct. Your turn, Crimson. :)

Crimsonthread

Darn it! I love solving these, but then I always have to be creative and think up a new one! Ummmm....

x^2+9=73

Mistery

Isn't it Mistery's turn? If not, then the answer is 7.

Swim Girl
09-07-2007, 01:30 AM
o yea but i waited a day and she didnt post one so i figured i could

and ur correct

Mistery
09-07-2007, 02:34 AM
Well, according to the rules, the answer must be confirmed, and Crimson just confirmed it 2 hours ago ;)
So, I assume it's my turn now?

1+x^2=2x+36

Crimsonthread
09-07-2007, 03:05 AM
X=5. :d

Mistery
09-07-2007, 03:07 AM
Are you sure :?

Crimsonthread
09-07-2007, 03:20 AM
:ashamed: NO! NOT AT ALL! I meant -5. :D (I think....)

(And I teach math... I shouldn't have missed that! O'course, we don't learn negatives in 5th grade.... so I have an excuse. :haha:)

Mistery
09-07-2007, 03:26 AM
Lol, that's correct, although I've thought of 7 :haha:

Your turn :D

Crimsonthread
09-07-2007, 03:34 AM
Ah, yes, they both work! :D

Mkay, here's a harder one for you!

(x-9)/(x-2)=(x+3)/(x+1)

Crimsonthread
09-17-2007, 12:54 PM
Was this one too hard? Should I post another?

Lovelylilyfairy
09-17-2007, 01:47 PM
x=-1/3

x^2 + 5x = 11x

Mistery
09-17-2007, 08:07 PM
Lovelylilyfairy, please wait for a confirmation before you post the new one :)

Crimsonthread
09-18-2007, 02:33 AM
Absolutely correct, Lovelylilyfairy!

And would your x be 6? :D

SimplyCrazy
09-18-2007, 06:56 PM
What does the ^ mean? :? I've ever used that in maths before!

Crimsonthread
09-19-2007, 04:53 AM
It's the same as "x squared." Or x times x. Or, if there's a different number after the ^(like x^y) then x multiplied by x y times.

....wait, did I confuse you more? How bout an example, just in case...

If x=2, then x^2 would be 4. x^3 would be 8, and so on.

Lovelylilyfairy
09-19-2007, 09:47 AM
I'm sorry I mucked up Mistery :(

Yes Crimson it was 6.

Mistery

I'm sorry I mucked up Mistery :(

Yes Crimson it was 6.

No problem :) It's just important that we follow the rules from the first post, so that we don't get a mess here ;)

It's Crimson's turn :)

Right, Greek! According to the rules of the game, though, you should wait until the original poster confirms your answer before posting another question. :D Just for future reference.
