Not sure if this categorizes as a 'broken link.' I have been trying to open this game for the last hour and it is stuck at 43%. I have already restarted my PC. Help!

For me it loaded slowly but fine. I think that the server is sometimes busy with all those players. In that case it's better to wait 1-2 hours and try again. :)

Edit: No, the riddle is still down. :( The home page indeed loads but when you click the link to first level of the riddle, you'll get a blank page.

Edit: Unfortunately, I wasn't able to find new links for episode 3 & 4.

Edit: Scratch that. Episode 2 & 3 are both still avaible on the gamershood.com :P For some reason it didn't show up when I searched with Frankie Story. :hmm: I wil update both threads.

Yeah, they said "We've recently upgraded from demonriddles.50webs.com to demonriddles.com.", so that we had the latest URL which is gone now too :S
I assume the link was down, but they brought it back up last year. But now it seems to have expired.
The admin hasn't logged in this year, so I guess he let it die.

Yes, I experienced the same with other links. With the recently link changes for the main page they forgotten to add the necessary script. They fixed it today, but it only worked for an half a day as it appears. :( We will notify the admin about it. Thank you for reporting the issue! :)

If not, try the following:
Go to start/run and enter cmd
You will get a black screen with a command line
In that screen, type: ping 174.132.114.34

(the number is the site's IP)
If it can be pinged it's a DSN server problem, if it can't I honestly don't know what the cause is.

This was told by a friend of mine when gamershood was down for me only during 24 hours. It could give some more info about the problem you are having, but I have no idea how to help you whatever the result or issue is.

It is possible, that your provider is blocking that site for some reason.


If you haven't tried yet, you can delete your history and cookies.
Otherwise you can also try to
Click the Start, click All Programs, click Accessories, click System Tools, and then click Internet Explorer (No Add-ons).

Honestly I think that your provider blocks this site due to certain words used on the website.
Btw, you can double check with Firefox, have you already tried that?

Deleting History and Cookies:



Open Internet Explorer and click on the "Tools" menu.
In the "Tools" menu, click on "Internet Options".
The Internet Options pop-up window appears.
Under the General Tab select the "Delete Cookies" button.
Delete cookies by clicking "OK".
Select the "Delete Files" button to clear the Internet cache. Make sure to check the box to "Delete all offline content".
Delete temporary Internet file history data by selecting "Clear History".

I hope that you've been able to remove all the nasties from your computer.:S
If it behaves strange or you get suspicious that something is still hiding there, I'd advise you to seek help from trained helpers on a trustworthy forums, e.g.

That's good :)

Unfortunately your security software cannot give 100% guarantee (this is true for all antivirus programs) :(
You must really be VERY careful what links you click (on websites, on Twitter, Facebook, in emails etc.). Also be sure to keep your Windows, and all your software updated, as updates provide patches against threats.
And if you land on a hacked website that is otherwise trustful, your computer can get infected, too. This doesn't happen often, but can happen.

I moved Scavenger Hunt there, too.

I get the same error message for OddPawn, however as it seems certain players are still able to play it, therefore we'll leave it up. Hopefully McFly can keep us updated what's going on, or even fix this issue.

I've received a reply concerning Final Quest. Currently there is a problem with the host, but the game should be back soon :)
