I can't seem to get anywhere... I've combined a few chemicals, found the paper in the bin, and read the journal. Eh. I'm done for tonight... my bed is calling me. :sleeping:

To disarm the bomb follow the directions in the safe with the letters

To open that safe
look for fingerprints on the letters...

There's a note in the grey bin, next to the bookshelf and that's an important clue.

Did anyone open the safe behind the picture yet? I tried a lot of combinations following the clues in the journal, but can't find the right one. So please, help me....

Look at the clue as single digits, not a date.(5-1-9) Turn it left then right then left again, safe should open.

On that note, Im still having a problem with the floor safe, I havent deciphered the correct combination of letters. Any clues?
EDIT: nvm, it was staring me right in the face.

Aha! finally out. Took a few minutes to find the door code. :)

I feel terrible stupid, but I can't get the safe opened. This is what I did: I clicked the left arrow 5 times, pointer at 5, right arrow 4 times, pointer at 1 and left arrow 8 times, pointer at 9. I pushed the black buttons after each insert, also after I finished all three inserts, I clicked the arrows 5, 1 and nine times which gave other numbers on the pointer, I did everything even backwards, but the safe won't open, no matter what I do What am I missing here??

Granny:

1) set safe to zero.(Push black center button)
2) push left arrow 5 times.
3) push right arrow 4 times.
4) push left arrow 8 times.

Dont push the black center until you finish completely, I think that might somehow reset it.

Here is a walkthrough for the good end if anbody gets stuck.

Take the cutters out of the toolbox
Turn right
Take the key from the cactus
Use the key on the desk drawer and take the screwdriver.
Read the diary. It contains a clue to the combination safe.
Click the picture over the safe to reveal the safe.
Enter the code from the diary into the safe. Its the son's birthday mentioned in the diary. Go left, right, then left again. Click the center of the knob once you have entered it.

Take the documents
Click the pencil sharpener on the desk to take the shavings
Turn right
Click the trashcan and make a note of the letter. You'll need it later to diffuse the bomb.
Click the redbook on the top shelf. Make note of the numbers written in the book.
Turn right
Click the biohazard trash bin and take the sulphuric acid
Open the cabinet over the table and take the purple vial on the middle shelf and the yellow vial on the bottom shelf. You can take the green one on the top shelf, but you won't need it.
Turn left to the screen with the bookcase. Use the acid on the cabinet to open it.
Take the brush.
Turn left to the screen with the safe.
Click on the safe on the floor to zoom in.
Use the pencil shavings on the pad, and then the brush.
The numbers still covered in black spell out the password
DEATH
Read the book in the safe for how to diffuse the bomb.
Read the note for how to make the cure.
Turn left to the screen with the door.
Open the box on the floor with the screwdriver
Cut the wires in this order:
yellow
green
brown-right side
brown-left side
red
white-right side
white-left side
Turn left to the screen with the cabinet full of chemical over a desk.
Click the machine on the table.
mix the purple and yellow vials together for the cure.
Turn right to the screen with the door.
Click on the keypad. Use the numbers from the red book on the top shelf of the bookshelf on the keypad.

Are you lining the numbers up with the arrow on the left and not the top?

There that was a complicated one, I thought. That bombbox was a killer and that dang combination lock was driving me nuts... until I realized I was doing it all wrong.. (don't ask, I'm half asleep and was lining the numbers up incorrectly!)
Good time filler though. Think I'll call it a night before I try another.
